Review on Naopleon TravelQ Electric – PRO285E-BK- TravelQ™™ PRO285E Portable Electric Grill.
I have had this grill for more than a year now. We use it at least once or twice a week, and I really like it. Electric grilling elements are not as good as an open flame. However, I have had no problems cooking different foods. I can cook steaks, chops, fish, and burgers easily. The cooking time is the same as with small tabletop gas grills. Sometimes, I think this little grill even cooks faster.
It’s true, as several reviewers have noted, that the temperature reading never seems to go above 400. Nevertheless, everything cooks beautifully in just a few minutes per side and tastes great! I think the problem is mostly with the temperature gauge. The grill itself heats and works perfectly for me.
It is so easy to use. I turn it on, give it 5-10 minutes to warm up (ignoring the gauge), then I put the food on, cook it for a few minutes on each side, and voilà! Everyone always comments on the nice grill marks and how juicy everything stays.
I recently bought this grill again as a gift for friends, and they love theirs too. (P.S. Their temperature gauge works fine the grill easily reaches 600 or more and it cooks just like mine.)
