There was a blind boy…

There was a blind boy who was raised by poor, illiterate farmers and was avoided by his neighbors. His name is Srikanth Bolla. His parents were asked by many people to have him killed. However, they disregarded everything and gave him all the help he needed.
As we can imagine, he was bullied relentlessly in his younger years. But, he had a strong desire to be an engineer and wanted to major in science and math to pursue his dreams. However, numerous schools turned him down because they believed it was against the law for him to study them in high school. After all, he was blind. From that point, he appealed in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh for reform in the law governing education so that blind students could study math and science. He won his lawsuit, much to his joy.
Several years later, he went back to a state board school where he studied math and science and received an average grade of 98%. His good marks however could not help him in attending the Indian Institutes of Technology as his blindness became an obstacle. He then applied to MIT, one of the best technical schools in the U.S., and was selected. He was admitted to MIT as the first international blind student. After graduating from MIT, Bolla founded Bollant Industries, a leading company that manufactures eco-friendly packaging products.
