It all started when I…

It all started when I watched a documentary about space when I was in first grade. I was completely fascinated by the idea of exploring the stars and discovering new planets. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up.
Two years later, the path to reaching my dream was open. My teacher announced that our school was organizing a science fair, and she encouraged us to come up with creative projects to showcase our interests. And that’s when it hit me – I could use the science fair as an opportunity to share my love of space with others!
I spent weeks researching and planning my project, which I called ‘Journey to the Stars.’ I created a mini solar system model and wrote a short presentation about the planets and the wonders of outer space. And on the day of the science fair, I stood proudly by my display, ready to share my passion with anyone who would listen.
To my surprise, my project was a huge hit! Kids and teachers alike stopped by and asked me questions about space. As I talked about my dream of becoming an astronaut, I could see the spark of excitement in their eyes.
The best part came when an astronaut came to our school as a guest speaker. I was beyond excited to meet someone who had actually been to space! When I told him about my dream, he looked me straight in the eye and said, ‘Never stop reaching for the stars, Lily. Anything is possible if you believe in yourself.’
